Confirel had the great pleasure of welcoming more than 30 French-speaking students from different bilingual classes from Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, for a presentation of our company and our factory on July 3.

This visit was organized by the French Embassy in Cambodia in partnership with the AUF (Agence universitaire de la Francophonie) and the OIF (International Organization of the Francophonie) as part of the “Remake the world in French” project.

“This regional project is part of the 19th Francophonie Summit 2024, which will be held on October 4 and 5 in Villers-Cotterêts, France. In response to the call for projects “International resonances of the Francophonie”, the French diplomatic posts in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam have set up this initiative, which facilitates the mobility of these French-speaking high school students from bilingual classes in the three neighboring countries. », indicated Élodie Wynar, Cooperation Attaché for French at the French Embassy in Cambodia.

According to a principle of rotating mobility, the students selected in the three countries will meet three times, over periods of three days, in each of the countries involved. At each meeting, they will explore one of the different aspects of the major challenges linked to the protection of the planet and the means at their disposal to become engaged citizens in this area.

Each stay includes a meeting with a French-speaking company working in sustainable development or environmental protection. And for Cambodia, it was Confirel who welcomed these young people for a whole morning to learn about its history, its vision of sustainable development, its means of production and its products.

The young people left enthusiastic about this visit and Confirel can only be delighted with such a project which aims to involve young French-speaking people in the region in sustainable development and eco-responsibility.
